Shortcuts
The keys and clicks the add-on uses, while marking and while animating.
Add-on 0.1.0 · Blender 5.1 or newer
The add-on adds no global shortcuts. The keys below work only while its tools are running, and Blender's own keys work as usual everywhere else.
On a Mac, Ctrl in Blender is usually Cmd. Both work where it says Ctrl below.
While placing joints
These work after you press Click … on the animal on Mark, with the mouse over the 3D viewport.
| Key or click | What it does |
|---|---|
| Left-click on the animal | Places the joint the page names, and moves on to the next. |
| Left-drag a dot | Moves a joint that is already placed. A mirrored pair moves together. |
| CtrlZ | Undoes the last click, one at a time. During a drag, puts the dot back. |
| Backspace | Goes back one joint in the list, to place it again. |
| Enter, Esc or right-click | Stops placing joints. |
The view still turns, pans and zooms with the mouse, the trackpad and the number pad while you mark. N and T still show and hide the sidebar and the toolbar. Clicks on the sidebar work as usual.
While animating
| Key or click | What it does |
|---|---|
| Right-click › Switch IK / FK | In Pose Mode, switches the legs of the selected controls, without them moving. |
| I | Keys the selected controls with all their settings, after you press Use the I key for animal controls on Animate. It makes Animal Controls Blender's active keying set. |
While painting weights
These are Blender's own, and the ones the Weights page leans on:
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| B | Box-select points, for Give all, Set and Take away with Only selected on. |
| F | Changes the brush size by dragging. |
